I’ve been writing about the Châteaux de la Loire (Loire Valley Castles) for several years now. Many articles linked together, but with information scattered all over the place.
That’s why I wanted to bring it all together in one place, in a PDF travel guide that you can download free of charge. A content with less blah, more condensed, more efficient.
I hope you’ll enjoy it, and above all, that it’ll give you all the information you need to plan your stay in the Châteaux de la Loire:)
You can download it directly at the bottom of this article
What’s in this PDF travel guide to the Loire Castles
It’s easy. I wanted to make this guide more readable than the blog, more concise than the articles, easier to carry around, while retaining the essential information on the Loire Valley.
So we’re going to find headings for each château:
- Chambord
- Chenonceau
- Azay le Rideau
- Clos Lucé
- And over 30 other Loire Valley châteaux
But also by town:
- A visit to Amboise
- Angers
- Chinon
- Tours
- Loches
For each place, you’ll find :
- information on how to get to and from the castles, including trip planners
- timetables and fares
- Where to stay in the Châteaux de la Loire
- ticket reservations
- restaurant recommendations
But you’ll also find large sections:
- 3 and 5-day itineraries
- accommodation in the Loire Castles (sleeping in a château, low prices, boutique hotels…)
- getting there and around without a car
- which Loire châteaux to visit with your dog
In short, you should be able to find what you’re looking for 🙂 at least I hope so!
How to download it
Easy! First of all, it’s free.
When you click on the button “ask your travel guide” below, you’ll be directly redirected to the guide. It can’t be easier 🙂
If you want to see all my travel guides, so you have to go to my ebook platform, where i’ve gathered all the guides, French, English (spanish soon)
Is this guide free?
Yes, it’s free!
You’ll sometimes find affiliate links, which, for certain bookings you make by following these links, will earn me a small percentage. It costs you absolutely nothing extra, and it allows me to maintain this blog. But it also keeps this guide free 🙂
For example, if you follow a booking link in the guide and make a reservation, I get 1/2% and you get nothing more than a normal reservation, so it’s totally transparent for you 🙂
Also, if you like this travel guide and want to thank me, via the Buymeacoffee platform you’ll be able to support the blog and help me to provide free content

Are there any updates planned?
Absolutely! I’ve tried to make it very complete, but it’s still a first version, so there are probably things missing.
As I go back regularly to discover new places, new towns and new villages, I’ll add all that in a new version of the guide.
If you want to be warned when something new is released, then I would advice you to download the Travel Guide via my ebook platform. Because when you download it, you provide your email address, then I’ll send you a message to let you know an update is available.
Email address is only used for this purpose. Of course, your information will not be sold. No spam, no ads.
If you download the guide via the direct link “ask your travel guide” then I can’t send you updates.
Map of the Loire Valley Castles
Another super-important element for discovering the region is a map of the châteaux of the Loire. You’ll find ALL the châteaux, accommodation, restaurants and places you need to visit. This should come in pretty handy 🙂
Conclusion
And here it is! This guide is the second in a series of ten or so. The first, a great success, is the PDF guide to Norway.
Others will follow, including Iceland, Finnish Lapland and Peru. Okay, it’s going to take a while, but it’ll come 🙂
Of course, if you still have questions, don’t hesitate to ask me, the contact form is just below 🙂
