Palermo ist eine der faszinierendsten Städte (und lebendigsten!) Italiens – ein ständiger Kulturschock aus arabisch-normannischer Architektur, überbordenden Märkten und unvergleichlichem Streetfood.
Aber wo übernachten in Palermo, um die Stadt voll zu genießen, ohne Zeit in Verkehrsmitteln zu verlieren? Die Wahl des Viertels ist entscheidend. In diesem Artikel stelle ich dir meine Lieblingsadressen in sechs zentralen Vierteln vor – ausgewählt unter den bestbewerteten und beliebtesten Unterkünften.
In welchen Vierteln übernachten in Palermo?
Palermo teilt sich in mehrere historische Viertel mit sehr unterschiedlichem Charakter. Hier sind die sechs relevantesten Zonen für die Wahl deiner Unterkunft – mit ihren Vorzügen und dem idealen Reisetyp.
Palermo ist ein fröhliches Chaos, deshalb habe ich trotzdem versucht, die etwas heikleren Viertel zu meiden. Diese hier sind getestet, sie sind nicht gefährlich – trotzdem solltest du immer ein bisschen auf Taschendiebe achten. Aber solange du im großen historischen Zentrum bleibst, passt das. Bleib dort, wo nachts Leute unterwegs sind.
Die Kriterien für diese Viertel waren also ziemlich einfach:
- sicher und zu Fuß erkundbar
- mit etwas Schönem in der Umgebung
- zentral, sodass du keine Verkehrsmittel ins historische Zentrum brauchst
Via Maqueda / Quattro Canti – das belebte Herz, alles zu Fuß
Die Via Maqueda ist die Hauptader des Centro Storico. Sie führt direkt zu den Quattro Canti, der symbolträchtigen barocken Kreuzung. Alles geht zu Fuß: Teatro Massimo, Märkte, Fontana Pretoria.
✅ Pro: Lebendigkeit, lokales Flair, alles in der Nähe.
❌ Contra: Kann abends laut sein. Spontane Feiern gibt’s hier quasi jeden Abend.
Ideal für: Städtereisende, Paare am Wochenende.
