Rome Trastevere Home is a project of hospitality, accommodation and food & wine incoming in Rome. I rent holiday homes in Trastevere to enjoy a real and authentic stay in our city. All of my apartments are furnished with care and designed to offer maximum comfort and well-being to those who live there, in a unique context: that of Trastevere, a district full of history and life.

Neighborhood info

Paglia is located in a magical position, in the real centre of Trastevere. You wake up to the ringing of the bells of the Basilica di Santa Maria in Trastevere and you go to bed with the sound of clinking glasses. The Basilica is one of the medieval jewel of Rome; the best moment to visit it is at sunset, to fully enjoy the tricks of light of the mosaic in the facade. In the centre of the same name square, the fountain considered the most ancient and still functioning in Rome. The fountain was restored several times, also by Bramante. The Acqua Paola flows from it, which in ancient times used to quench the Romans’ thirst after centuries without any water supply network. The square is one of nightlife’s references and meeting point for people of all ages and nationalities. Continuing in via della Paglia, a beautiful glimpse is there, Piazza Sant’Egidio, which also hosts the Roman Museum of Trastevere, a space reserved to the organization of especially photography temporary exhibitions, shows, conventions and concerts. Going through the core of Trastevere, you will get to Piazza Trilussa with the beautiful fountain commissioned by Paul V Borghese.
