If you are in the area to see the lavender fields this is the most centralized spot for the best viewing experience with ease for getting out quickly for sunrise and sunset photos. The breakfast was wonderful throughout our trips, and the centralized kitchen for guests to use was a welcomed change of pace from eating out for every meal. The family was extremely accommodating to help plan a birthday dinner for my husband, and their dog Perry is super friendly and made us feel more 'at home.' The house is located such that the nighttime and morning breeze kept the room cool and comfortable.

Laurent and Astride where attentive to our needs. Very good hosts. My wife Cynthia requested a dinner for it was our 34th Anniversary as husband and wife. They cooked the duck 🦆 exquisitely. The outdoor dining was perfect with another couple from Montelimar. Even though we didn't speak a lick of French we had a good time. There was a younger couple who played the guitar at the pool. The pool was perfect. It didn't have a deep end. Thank you Laurent and Astride for making our Anniversary special.

We loved everything about this property! Located about 5 minutes from the village of Valensole, it is an ideal place to visit gorgeous lavender fields. We also were not far from the beautiful village of Moustiers- Sainte-Marie and the gorges du Verdon. The apartment itself is on a vast property, and is very private and quiet. You can really take in the charm that this region has to offer. The views are amazing! The place itself is very comfortable, with modern amenities, great shower pressure, AC and my favorite…a washer, so necessary on long travels (we do a lot of road trips, and look out for washers a lot). There is also a drying rack. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is decorated with taste, and immaculately clean. The hosts are very reachable, delightful and helpful! We had a small incident with the safe, where the code we thought we put in was not working, and we were assisted immediately. The only thing to note is that the bed is located on a mezzanine, so it may be difficult to reach for someone with impaired mobility. I do believe there may be a sofa bed downstairs, but I am not sure. In any case, this was not a problem for us. 10/10 on all levels. We highly recommend, and hope to be back one day soon. Thank you again to our wonderful hosts!
Set in a 17th-century château with manicured gardens, this B&B is located in the Verdon Regional Park. Meals are served in the former wine cellar and guest rooms feature period furniture.

Breakfast was OK but boiled egg and cold meats would have been appreciated. Liked the antique furniture and the amazing history. Owners were attentive, friendly and accommodating.

Very small town, right in the middle of the lavender field area. Not much to do in it, almost no attractions, very few restaurants. But it is definitely conveniently located for lavender fields and for visiting other nearby towns. So we spend one day visiting the lavender fields and the others doing something else, but we had to pass by the fields every time. I felt that was really nice. We felt that 4 nights there was more than enough.

Sadly we arrived when the lavender fields were already cut (only few were still nice lavender colour). In the village one restaurant was opened until 23:00 and they served us even though we arrived after 22:15. The others were already closed.

A charming little village of Provence, the best time to enjoy the place and its surroundings would be June-Mid July, when the lavender grows and before it gets harvested. The area is really beautiful, but lavender being the main attraction, for those who come off season I wouldn’t recommend staying more than a day or two; as there’s much more authentic villages to discover all around. Having the chance to be living not so far from Valensole, my husband and I never cease to be amazed by this magical place.

Valensole is a small village on the edge of the plateau.
Valensole is a small village on the edge of the plateau. You can see this in 2-3 hours, but it's a good starting point for a regional discovery. Great location for hikes, bike rides, (easy) mountain bike rides and lakes in the neighbourhood. Close enough to thee Verdon (30km) to visit, unless you are a rock climber and will want to be closer to this. The village has some smaller supermarkets and local cafe, butcher (strongly recommended!) and baker.

The lavender fields and the sunflower fields beside each other make a wonderfull view and the smell ohhhhhhh.
We ate at Brasserie Du Plateau very tast
And dont forget to buy a pizza baked in wood oven from Sergio (friday and saturday)
Overall a good stay at the chateau. Property grounds are very pretty with nice landscaping, a rose garden, and nearby fields with horses roaming. It was a relaxing place to return to after long days out exploring. As a group of three, we stayed in the top floor suite which was very spacious and well decorated. We loved the views from all our windows and sitting on the private balcony to read in the morning. Perfect location if you’re in the area to see the Valensole lavender & sunflower fields.
My husband and I recently spent 2 nights in Les Costebelles - Florence was a wonderful hostess who made us feel so welcome in her home. Our stay was during the heatwave and we really loved having use of her swimming pool and beautiful garden. Florence served us breakfast on both mornings on the terrace beside the pool which was a lovely start to each day. Les Costebelles is ideally situated if you wish to explore the beautiful area of the Valensole Plateau.
The best localisation to visit Valensole and its surroundings. I was shocked by their breakfast, really, everything you want is in this place. Amaizing swimming pool, the owners are incredibly friendly. This place deserves a mention, it is simply amazing, well-kept, incredibly clean. If you are looking for a great place in Valensole then believe me, you just found it!
The hotel is amazing, the location, room and restaurant. We went to eat there twice in one day. The staffs are so nice. We came back late from a prewedding photo shooting, and the kitchen is closed. But the staff still helped us make pizza and wine, and deliver to our room. So we can have a great meal after an exhausting day.
Breakfast, beautiful house and room, great location with lavender fields within few mins drive, spacious room, great amenities, dog, must stay here when visit Valensole, this is the best stay ever for us! the owners are super friendly to share with us lavenders fields and some attractions!
You can go wrong with this small place. Florence is over-the-top friendly and chipper. Great breakfast, especially for France. A very tranquil environment. This is the third stay at three different places on the Valensole Plateau and this was the best.
Perfect location in the quiet part of Valensole but still close to the city centre. It is possible to drive by (smaller) car directly to the apartment to take out luggage, however free parking is on the parallel street (3 min walk).
-Large room with two sinks is useful when there are two of you.
- Hotel is close to the center, easy to walk to.
-Swimming pool is accessible day and night (if you wish).
-The room contains a refrigerator. useful.
Beautiful chateau with original features maintained. Very friendly owners. Comfortable room and lovely breakfast. Only a few minutes walk into the heart of Valensole yet very quiet and peaceful place to stay.
Excellent. Brand new apartment with everything you need in the kitchen, toilet, bedroom. It's very clean and well decorated.
It's very close to Plateau du Valensole and Gorges du Verdon.
